The Moustache That Bridged Glam and Disco

Giorgio Moroder is a funny fella. There was a time when he WAS disco, pumping out hit after hit with his trademark bludgeoning of Moog and other analog synth bloops and bleeps. I’m not going to bother talking too in depth about his career because i know little about it but check out the video at the bottom of the page for some background on the guy. What i’m posting today is his awesome synth glam opus Son Of My Father (1972). The title track was a big hit later on for Chickory Tip (see video) and the original sound practically identical so give that a listen and you’ll know what you’re in for on this album. I don’t really know of anything that sounds quite like this, but i’m a big fan and recommend it highly.
